RTX is seeking an experienced Principal Thermal Engineer to join the MA&T Department. You will perform thermal analyses across product lifecycles, from design trades to qualification testing and production support. You will lead analysts, plan tests, and present findings to government customers.

The role requires a strong background in thermodynamics, FEA tools, and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in thermal analysis with FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA or ANSYS.
• Demonstrated leadership of a thermal analysis team.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Perform hand calculations to determine scope of higher detail analysis models.
• Conduct detailed thermal analyses to address program challenges.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance.
• Analyze test data to validate and correlate models.
• Lead analysis teams and present results to customers.
