RTX is seeking an experienced Principal Thermal Engineer to join the MA&T Department. The role focuses on detailed thermal analysis across product lifecycles, from design studies to production support.

Candidates will perform hand calculations, run advanced simulations, and lead test plans and model correlations for government customers. The successful engineer will present results, mentor peers, and help shape department processes while ensuring cost and schedule adherence.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master’s equal 2 years, Ph.D. equal 5 years
• Experience in thermal analysis using FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA or ANSYS or equivalent
• Experience in mechanical principles to solve classical thermal analysis and ability to work independently
• Experience in thermal testing: planning, execution, data reduction and correlation
• Experience in leading a team of thermal analysts on major program efforts
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required
