Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Test Engineer to verify power and analog-oriented electronics for DoD-grade systems. The role is onsite in Tucson, requiring an active security clearance and a track record in hardware testing and problem solving.

Responsibilities include test design, root-cause analysis, and production transition support, with mentorship to junior engineers and close collaboration with program teams to meet cost and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics testing, including integration and verification of power/analog products.
• Experience with circuit card assembly processes and related industry specs.
• Hardware testing methodologies and root-cause investigations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests and verify power, analog, and digital electronics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for development, integration, and sustainment of power systems.
• Design and implement test plans to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for test anomalies.
• Support transition of products from development to production with quality and compliance.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Partner with program teams to meet cost, schedule and technical requirements.
