Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an experienced Deployment Leader to oversee end-to-end customer deployments for the TrueChoice Defense portfolio. You will guide cross-functional teams, liaise with customers, and ensure compliant, timely delivery of deployment plans and roadmaps.

Responsibilities include coordinating procurement, site readiness, and vendor demonstrations, while maintaining data sovereignty and export control compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with seniority in customer deployment leadership or equivalent.
  • Alternative: Associate’s degree with extensive deployment leadership experience.
  • High School Diploma with significant professional deployment leadership background.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the deployment pipeline across the TrueChoice Defense portfolio.
  • Track active and prospective rollouts and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with Customer Experience to shape win strategies and capture Voice of the Customer input.
  • Complete customer deployment questionnaires and technical readiness assessments.
  • Build cost estimates and financial justifications for deployment proposals.
  • Present solution strategies, implementation roadmaps, and deployment schedules to customer leadership.
  • Operationalize approved technical designs during customer rollouts.
  • Coordinate maintenance windows, site readiness, and customer IT access.
  • Manage site access passes, escort clearances, and facility scheduling for installation engineers.
  • Execute procurement workflows, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and hardware delivery.
  • Manage hardware budgets, freight, customs clearance, and delivery to customer sites.
  • Secure software Trade Agreements Act compliance, export clearances, and regional certifications.
  • Plan and support vendor product demonstrations.
  • Serve as primary operational contact for customer leadership and facility leads.
  • Coordinate executive communications, support channels, government reporting, and SLA status.
  • Advise on technical site surveys and hardware vendor selection.
  • Assemble operational handover packages and drive transition to long-term support.
  • Uphold data sovereignty and export control requirements.
  • Provide principal-level leadership and mentorship across the D&S Digital Technology team.
  • Improve onboarding playbooks, procurement handoffs, readiness templates, and deployment cycle times.
  • Align cross-functional teams and vendors to remove deployment blockers.
  • Apply FLIGHT DECK, lean operating practices, user-centric design, outcome-based decisions, and AI opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, OR Associate's degree with a minimum of 13 years of professional experience, OR High School Diploma with a minimum of 15 years of professional experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in customer deployment leadership, technical program or product management, or a related Distinct Area of Work (DAW)
  • Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information without an export license
  • Must meet the status of a U.S. Person: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, or protected individual with asylee or refugee status
  • Proven ownership of enterprise customer deployments end to end
  • Hands-on technical understanding and ability to turn architecture into deployment-ready execution plans
  • Experience delivering in an Agile environment (Scrum and Kanban)
  • Experience partnering with engineering and architecture teams
  • Ability to document readiness and cost estimates and size effort and timelines credibly
  • Understanding of procurement, sourcing, vendor decisions, compliance, cost, and schedule
  • Understanding of Federal and commercial markets
  • Experience with AI and identifying opportunities for its application
  • ServiceNow experience or knowledge is relevant to the deployment environment
