Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Delivery Operations Manager to lead a portfolio of defense and intelligence programs in New Jersey. You will manage Solution Leaders and specialist teams, drive delivery timelines, and oversee cross-functional coordination across engineering, data science, product and solutions groups.

You will align customer priorities with product roadmaps, manage risks, and ensure renewal readiness while maintaining margin accountability.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in defense, intelligence, or federal technology programs.
5+ years in a people-management role leading delivery, program management, or customer success teams.
Proven experience managing a portfolio of concurrent programs or accounts.
Strong executive communication skills, briefing general officers, SES-level civilians, and C-Suite executives.
Deep familiarity with DoW and IC organizational structures, acquisition processes, and operational culture.
Experience with P&L or margin accountability in services or software delivery.
Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plus
Active TS-SCI clearance preferred
Prior military service at field-grade officer (O-4+) or senior civilian (GS-14/15) level preferred
Experience in enterprise software or AI/ML platform delivery for defense customers preferred
Domain expertise in defense operational areas such as logistics, readiness, intelligence, weapons systems, or sustainment
Experience transitioning from uniform to the defense technology industry
Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies in classified or accredited environments
Understanding of FedRAMP and IL4/IL5/IL6 deployment environments and compliance requirements
Experience with OKR frameworks, delivery readiness tracking, and stage-gate program governance

Responsibilities
