Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Modeling Simulation & Analysis. You will join a multi-disciplinary team to create high-fidelity simulations for missile design and testing, and to develop modeling solutions across GNC and signal processing domains.

The role emphasizes collaboration, trade studies, and guiding junior engineers through the product lifecycle, onsite in Tucson with eligibility for security clearances.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with object-oriented C/C++ programming.
• Experience using Python or MATLAB for data evaluation.
• Experience modeling, simulating, and/or analyzing physical systems.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government clearance before start; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Create high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions and conduct trade studies evaluating system performance.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team and provide guidance to other team members.
• Coordinate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulations per schedule.
• Work on multiple projects, developing approaches from concept to fielded product.
• Provide technical expertise for simulation products and assist senior engineers with detailed plans.
