Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for Modeling, Simulation & Analysis in Tucson, AZ. You will join a multi-disciplinary team in an onsite role, developing high fidelity simulations for missile systems and collaborating across GNC, signal processing, and other engineers to meet program goals.

The role requires a BS in engineering/science and 8+ years of related experience, strong C/C++ and MATLAB/Python skills, and the ability to obtain an interim DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM; 8+ years of relevant prior experience.
• Experience with object-oriented software design in C++, C, and MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
• Experience modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
• Develop and implement modeling solutions; conduct trade studies and evaluate system performance.
• Collaborate with GNC, Signal Processing, and other performance personnel to perform simulations per schedule.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across the product lifecycle from concept to fielded product.
