Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineers for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will develop physics-based modeling solutions in the DoD Space domain, focusing on EO/IR/RF sensor modeling and energy transport to support AI hardware designs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement new C++ models, and mentor peers while ensuring robust software across platforms. U.S. citizenship and interim clearance are required.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering, science, physics or mathematics.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience with object-oriented C++ design.
Experience with MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government clearance.

Responsibilities

Champion novel modeling techniques for advanced simulations.
Develop new C++ models in extensible, maintainable ways.
Apply EO/RF phenomenology in software implementations.
Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
Collaborate across teams to solve complex software and physics problems.
Mentor peers and share EO/RF expertise.
Coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize work.
Work inside an established software product across languages and build environments.
