Job summary

RTX is hiring a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Missile Guidance, Navigation, and Control in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on evaluation, design, and integration of embedded software algorithms for 6-DoF simulations, with collaboration across an integrated product team.

The position requires a degree in engineering or related STEM field and at least 10 years of experience in missile systems, GNC, and signal processing. U.S. citizenship and Interim Secret clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• GNC, Signal Processing, and/or Modeling/Simulation experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and OO programming.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test embedded missile flight code.
• Lead system-level performance studies and analyses.
• Work in an Agile environment to manage backlogs and plans.
• Mentor engineers and improve program execution.
• Support missile performance analysis including Monte Carlo assessments.
