Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer within the Mechanical Analysis and Test (MA&T) department. You will perform advanced structural analyses spanning development to production, using FE tools and hand calculations, and serve as a technical lead for the team.

You will coordinate reviews, generate archival reports, and travel to test sites as needed while collaborating with internal and external customers to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Master’s or PhD can substitute for experience per guidelines.
• Experience with structural analysis tools is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analyses to support all program phases.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and hardware.
• Analyze test data to validate models and derive loads/environments.
• Lead peer reviews and present results to stakeholders.
