RTX is seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer for its Mechanical Analysis and Test department. The role focuses on detailed structural analyses across development and production, using FE tools and classical methods.

You will lead teams, review work, and present results to internal and external customers. You will work onsite in a highly collaborative environment, contributing to design robustness and test planning, while traveling to test sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS or equivalent software.
• Experience with static, dynamic, non-linear and transient analyses.
• Experience leading teams and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Perform detailed structural analyses to support all program phases.
• Generate test plans and verify hardware against requirements.
• Analyze test data to validate models and generate mechanical loads.
• Lead technical peer reviews and coordinate team work.
• Present results to stakeholders and customers.
• Travel to test sites to support discussions and testing.
• Develop and lead MA&T department technical processes and tools.
