Job summary

RTX seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to perform complex analyses and develop repair concepts for aerospace components. You will collaborate with MRB and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant engineering solutions and cost improvements across product lines.

The role requires strong communication skills and expertise in structural sizing, load paths, and FEA, with experience in Patran and common aerospace practices.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience with static stress and fatigue analysis using classical methods and FEA.
• Experience using Patran or comparable FEA tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex structural analyses for aerospace components.
• Define and document repair designs for metallic, bonded metallic, and composite structures.
• Collaborate with MRB to develop standard repair instructions.
• Prepare engineering reports supporting repairs for customers and FAA approval.
