Job summary

Gen is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer to own the most complex partner engagements and steer technical strategy across Sales, Partner Success, Product, and Engineering.

You will architect solutions for strategic opportunities, mentor engineers, lead high-stakes demonstrations, and help steer the Product roadmap while representing the Engine's expertise to clients and at industry events.

This role offers travel for key engagements and progression within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or related roles, preferably FinTech or enterprise tech.
• Ability to set architectural framing and solution narratives for net-new verticals.
• Experience mentoring or raising the bar for other technical/pre-sales professionals.
• Willingness to travel for in-person partner engagements and high-stakes deals.

Responsibilities

• Own outcomes across a portfolio of complex partner engagements and frontier ICPs.
• Set solution narratives and architectural framing for net-new verticals.
• Standardize scoping and engagement models for repeatable SE work.
• Travel with Sales and Partner Solutions for high-stakes meetings.
• Lead discovery and solution design for strategic opportunities, prioritized by revenue and risk.
• Architect and demo the most complex solutions beyond standard product walkthroughs.
• Drive feedback loops from partners into the Product roadmap.
• Align partners, Sales, Partner Solutions, and Product around solution direction for major deals.
• Represent the Engine's technical expertise with senior stakeholders and at industry conferences.
