Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to drive the technical direction for high-visibility mobile initiatives and enterprise solutions. You will lead architecture reviews, mentor senior engineers, and partner with product and engineering leadership to deliver scalable production-grade platforms.

You will also champion reliability, security, observability, and CI/CD, translating prototypes into scalable systems while shaping the roadmap and ensuring delivery across teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience in systems analysis and development.
• 7+ years in Java, Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin development.
• 5+ years designing scalable mobile architectures and long-term decisions.
• 5+ years stakeholder requirements and technical solutions.
• 3+ years CI/CD pipeline automation.
• 3+ years setting engineering standards and mentoring engineers.
• 1+ years AI tech and LLMs familiarity (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• 1+ years Flutter experience.

Responsibilities

• Architect technical direction, standards, and methodology for department tech.
• Lead Technical Advisory council for architectural reviews.
• Develop strategic technical roadmaps aligned with enterprise tech roadmap.
• Lead matrixed technical leads on standards across multiple stacks.
• Act as senior technical contributor on strategic initiatives.
• Drive DevSecOps maturity and shift-left QA/testing.
• Oversee CI/CD tooling across Angular, Java, Oracle stacks.
