Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing. You will design, simulate, test, and optimize signal processing algorithms for sensors used across missile systems, and collaborate across engineering disciplines.

The role requires a STEM degree, 8+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance. This is an onsite position with relocation support and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR, RF, Sonar or Acoustic domains.
• Proficiency in C programming and OO languages (C++, C#, Java).
• Experience with algorithm design, implementation, testing, and optimization.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, integrate, test and assess signal processing algorithms.
• Modify simulations for design, development, and live-fire testing.
• Test and validate sensor models and algorithm performance per requirements.
• Integrate algorithms into hardware and mentor team members.
