Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer – EO/IR or RF Signal Processing for the Tucson, AZ site. You will design, implement, test, and optimize signal processing algorithms used across missile systems programs, collaborating across engineering disciplines and with hardware integration teams.

You will prototype and validate algorithms in lab environments, mentor teammates, and support engineering reviews and briefings as part of an onsite role with relocation assistance considered.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant prior experience.
• Signal processing experience in EO/IR, RF, Sonar, or Acoustic domains.
• Experience with C, C++, C#, or Java programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and assess RF/EO-IR signal processing algorithms and models.
• Modify simulations for design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of algorithms.
• Test, verify, and validate sensor models and algorithm performance in lab environments.
• Integrate algorithms into hardware and support development through start-up to live-fire testing.
• Share knowledge and mentor others.
