Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal RF Sensor Responsible Engineering Authority for advanced missile programs, onsite in Tucson, AZ. You will lead RF sensor hardware development, drive subsystem requirements, and mentor junior engineers to ensure technical excellence.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility, strong experience in RF subsystems, radar, antennas, and close collaboration with suppliers and program leadership to manage risk and ensure program success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of experience, or Advanced degree with 6+ years in RF hardware development or related fields.
Experience with electrical hardware development (RF components such as antennas or CCAs and subsystems preferred).
Experience with suppliers or subcontractors to develop complex hardware.
Experience with product or task ownership.
Experience interpreting engineering requirements and verifying hardware.

Responsibilities

Oversee supplier development of RF sensors and measurement equipment.
Liaise between the supplier and program to ensure technical, cost, and schedule alignment.
Coordinate stakeholder reviews of technical data, proposed design changes, and hardware acceptance.
Identify, document, and communicate risks and mitigations for RF sensor development.
Support lab testing, field test events, and root‑cause failure analysis for RF sensors.
Maintain artifacts such as requirements documents, HUM, and SSOW.
