Job summary

Epicor seeks a Principal Product Developer to lead technical efforts across modern .NET apps and legacy Pick/UniBasic environments. This hands-on leadership role includes mentoring developers, shaping engineering practices, and driving modernization across APIs, databases, and release processes.

You will guide cross-functional teams, champion best practices, and deliver high-quality solutions within timelines while exploring new technologies to keep Epicor ahead in distribution software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software development experience including Windows Forms.
• 3+ years VB.NET development including web/WinForms apps.
• 4+ years in distribution industry solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/CSIS or related field.
• Experience with testing methodologies and defect resolution.
• Ability to lead technical work and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience mentoring and coaching other developers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, test, and maintain software systems.
• Provide technical leadership on complex initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams for change, testing, and release.
• Investigate and resolve defects with Product QA.
• Mentor and train other developers.
• Deliver formal and informal technical training.
• Promote best practices in software development.
• Improve efficiency via automation, CI, and process optimization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for Epicor products.
• Uphold Epicor development standards and practices.
• Contribute to technical decision-making and timelines.
