Job summary

Epicor seeks a Principal Product Developer to lead and evolve business‑critical applications across modern .NET and legacy Pick/UniBasic environments. This hands‑on technical leadership role combines system modernization with mentoring and shaping engineering practices.

You will partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure quality releases, troubleshoot defects, and drive automation and CI improvements while guiding teams toward reliable, scalable distribution solutions for the next era.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software development experience, including demonstrated expertise in Windows Forms development.
• 3+ years of experience developing applications using VB.NET, including web and/or Windows Forms applications.
• 4+ years of experience working with software solutions in the distribution industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, test, and maintain software systems and applications.
• Provide technical leadership on complex development initiatives and projects.
• Partner with Product Development, Product QA, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure change, testing, and release requirements are met.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects in partnership with Product QA.
• Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to other developers.
• Deliver formal and informal technical training.
• Recommend and implement software development best practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, continuous integration, and process optimization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, development practices, and industry trends for potential use in Epicor products and processes.
• Promote consistent engineering standards and help ensure adherence to Epicor development practices.
• Contribute to technical decision‑making and help teams deliver high‑quality solutions within established timelines.
• Represent Epicor’s technical expertise at internal and external events, as appropriate.
