Job summary

dss+ is seeking a Principal to lead transformational programs across industrials and manufacturing, building trusted C-suite relationships and growing strategic accounts. You will shape major engagements, price large deals, and guide programs from boardroom to plant floor, driving safety, performance, and sustainability benefits.

The role demands senior leadership experience, a strong network in industrial manufacturing, and the ability to manage multi-year client relationships while traveling

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in management consulting and/or senior manufacturing leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field; MBA strongly preferred.
• Proven success selling and leading consulting engagements, with annual sales targets.
• Willingness to travel 80%+.

Lead the Work

• Serve as the accountable executive on multiple transformation programs, owning client outcomes, commercial performance, and delivery quality.

• Lead complex situations including operational turnarounds, serious incidents, restructuring, and post-acquisition integration.

• Deliver measurable improvements across safety, EBITDA, throughput, quality, reliability, and productivity.

• Recruit, coach, and develop Managers and Senior Managers.

What You Bring

• 15+ years of experience in management consulting and/or senior manufacturing leadership.

• Partner, Director, or equivalent consulting experience and/or significant P&L or plant leadership experience.

• Proven success personally selling and leading consulting engagements, with annual sales targets.

• An established C-suite and senior operations network within industrial manufacturing, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and/or building products.

• Experience leading large-scale safety, operational excellence, and performance transformations with measurable results.

• Turnaround, restructuring, and/or M&A integration experience.

• Strong knowledge of Operational Excellence, Lean/Six Sigma, safety management systems, and large-scale change.

• Strong executive presence with credibility in both the boardroom and the plant floor.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred.

• Willingness to travel 80%+.
