Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to drive software for OCI network deployment, automation, and platform engineering across NRB. You will contribute to architecture, CI/CD, testing, and production reliability while mentoring engineers and applying AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.

The role emphasizes leadership in design discussions, scalable systems, and collaboration across network and infrastructure teams to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• Strong software engineering experience in Python, Java, Go, or Rust.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and distributed systems.
• Modular, extensible, and maintainable software architectures.
• Production engineering platforms experience.
• Git and CI/CD best practices.
• Linux-based production environments experience.
• Highly available, resilient, observable systems.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production software for OCI network deployment and lifecycle management.
• Build platforms, APIs, automation services, and operational systems for global network infrastructure.
• Own software solutions throughout their lifecycle from architecture to deployment and operations.
• Develop scalable automation using modern programming languages and practices.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, and Network Automation teams to translate challenges into software solutions.
• Design and implement resilient, observable platform services.
