Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Network Engineer for the NRB team to design, deploy, and operate large-scale global cloud networks for OCI. This role emphasizes automation, scripting, and cross-functional collaboration across network and platform teams.

Responsibilities include leading network projects, developing runbooks, and mentoring junior engineers while supporting high-availability backbone, data center fabrics, and inter-domain connectivity.

Qualifications

• Experience in large ISP or cloud provider environments.
• Exposure to commodity Ethernet hardware (Broadcom/Mellanox).
• Experience with scripting or automation for datacenter and network provisioning.
• Knowledge of network modeling and programming – YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF.
• Knowledge of network security design and performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Participate in network lifecycle management and upgrade projects.
• Collaborate with PMs to develop milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and execute network changes using existing procedures, or create new ones.
• Lead projects as technical lead and mentor junior engineers.
• Develop runbooks and automation tooling; contribute to roadmaps.
• Perform post-event root cause analyses and incident remediation.
• Coordinate with automation teams for tooling integration and QA.
