Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Principal Product Developer to evolve and support business-critical applications across .NET and legacy Pick/UniBasic environments. This hands-on leadership role combines software design, mentoring, and modernization efforts to keep Epicor’s distribution solutions reliable and scalable.

You will guide cross-functional teams, drive testing and release readiness, and promote engineering practices while exploring new technologies to keep Epicor at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software development experience with Windows Forms.
• 3+ years of VB.NET development (web and/or Windows Forms).
• 4+ years in distribution industry software solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with testing methodologies and defect resolution.
• Ability to lead technical work and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, test, and maintain software systems and applications.
• Provide technical leadership on complex initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure change, testing, and release requirements.
• Investigate and resolve defects with Product QA.
• Mentor and coach other developers and provide technical guidance.
• Deliver formal and informal technical training.
• Promote best practices and optimize development processes.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive CI/CD improvements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for Epicor products.
