RTX's Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Mechanical Engineer with eight+ years of experience to design, develop, document and sustain test environments.

This 100% onsite role requires a STEM degree with strong CAD (Creo Parametric) skills, GD&T expertise, and experience producing mechanical drawings and packaging. Eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of eight years of technical/engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support.
• Skilled in CAD solid modeling and analysis tools, with an emphasis on ProE/CREO Parametric for complex design.
• Demonstrated experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) analysis.
• Experience creating mechanical drawing packages.

Responsabilités

• Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems (vibration, thermal, hydraulic, RF, electro-optical) for production testing environments.
• Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements.
• Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
