RTX is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer for our Mechanical Design organization in Tucson, AZ. The role spans the full hardware lifecycle from design through production and fielding, supporting multiple product lines for U.S. Government and international customers.

This onsite position requires a DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one, with travel as needed. You will lead mechanical design efforts, mentor teams, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to deliver robust,

Qualifikationen

• Typically requires STEM degree with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience in technical leadership across mechanical product development lifecycle.
• Experience with CREO and GD&T; ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Experience collaborating across multiple functions to resolve technical challenges.

Aufgaben

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and assemblies.
• Lead and mentor mechanical engineering teams to meet schedule and budget.
• Collaborate with analysts, materials, quality, supply chain, and leadership to refine designs.
• Support factories and suppliers domestically and internationally with development and troubleshooting.
• Conduct trade studies, participate in design reviews, and address action items.
