Job summary

The Atlantic District in Baltimore is seeking a Principal Insurance Agent to lead our local office, expanding our footprint with strategic plans and strong client partnerships. You will oversee a diverse book of business, mentor staff, and drive growth while maintaining top-tier service across commercial and personal lines.

You should have a Maryland P&C license and 5+ years in insurance sales or account management, plus a Bachelor's degree or CIC/CPCU designation.

Qualifications

• Maryland Property & Casualty Producer License.
• Five or more years of experience in direct insurance sales or account management.
• Bachelor's degree or CIC/CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our footprint in the Baltimore area.
• Oversee a portfolio of complex commercial and personal lines accounts to ensure high retention.
• Partner with local business owners to identify and bridge gaps in their current coverage plans.
• Mentor junior staff by sharing technical knowledge and negotiation techniques.
• Represent our agency at community events and industry networking gatherings.
• Collaborate with underwriting teams to advocate for the best terms and pricing for clients.
