Job summary

Valar Atomics seeks a Principal Instrumentation & Controls Hardware Engineer to own the architecture for reactor and fuel manufacturing facilities. The role spans instrument platform, panel architecture, hazardous area design, and SIS hardware with authority on design decisions and standards.

You will set the technology roadmap, sponsor qualification campaigns, and lead senior engineers while coordinating with regulators and vendors to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of instrumentation or I&C engineering experience in process industries.
• End-to-end ownership of instrumentation hardware scope across major projects.
• Architecture-level technical leadership with cross-project standardization.
• Experience interfacing with regulators, certification bodies, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Define instrumentation and control hardware architecture and technology roadmap.
• Own safety instrumented system architecture and SIL verification methods.
• Lead design reviews, licensing readiness, and regulatory interactions.
• Direct root-cause investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Mentor engineers and build organizational capability in the IC&E discipline.
