Job summary

Axon is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to own system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and power domains. You will set technical standards and guide architecture from concept through mass production, partnering with EE, RF, SW, and ME leads.

This role requires 10+ years of hardware experience and a proven track record delivering battery-powered devices at scale, with a hybrid onsite schedule across regional hubs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hardware engineering experience.
• Experience owning system architecture for complex hardware.
• Track record delivering compact, connected, battery-powered hardware from concept through mass production (EVT/DVT/PVT).
• Experience with ODM/JDM or contract manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, software and product management.
• Lead cross-disciplinary design reviews and drive stakeholder buy-in.
• Define system requirements and maintain traceability from PRD through V&V.
• Own system-level verification, risk mitigation, and production readiness.
