Axon 911 is seeking a Principal Hardware Systems Architect to own system architecture across electrical, RF, mechanical, and thermal domains. You will lead cross-functional design decisions, coordinate with EE, RF, SW, and ME teams, and drive the pathway from concept to mass production.

This hybrid role includes onsite collaboration at regional hubs with relocation assistance available. You will partner with ODM/JDM and manufacturing to ensure DFM/DFX readiness, system verification, and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience across multiple domains.
• Proven system-architecture ownership for complex hardware.
• Experience with RF/antenna integration and power/thermal design.
• Ability to drive cross-functional decisions and leadership.
• Experience with EVT/DVT/PVT, certification, and manufacturing ramp.
• Familiarity with hardware design tools and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Develop system architecture considering electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal, and software interfaces.
• Create block diagrams and interaction models to guide implementation.
• Analyze power, thermal, and budget constraints and balance performance with size and cost.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews and drive stakeholder alignment.
• Own system verification/validation strategy and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate with ODM/JDM and contract manufacturers for production readiness.
