Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Principal Analyst to join the GTM Analytics team in Costa Rica. You’ll turn ambiguous stakeholder questions into actionable analytical plans, build models blending statistics and finance, and deliver fast, robust analyses for senior leaders.

You’ll develop forecasting, pipeline coverage, and quota simulations while collaborating with Finance to ensure consistency in revenue metrics. Strong autonomy and mentoring are expected in this senior role.

Qualifications

• Advanced, self-serve proficiency in SQL, dbt, and BI tools (Looker, Omni, Sigma).
• Strong understanding of SaaS sales motions and forecasting concepts (ARR, quota, pipeline).
• Statistical knowledge applied to business problems (regression, distributions, confidence intervals).
• Analytical mindset with ability to reframe questions for business problems.
• Ability to scope ambiguous requests quickly, often live in meetings, with good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous stakeholder requests into a scoped analytical plan in real time.
• Build and maintain models combining statistical and financial methods (pipeline coverage, quota simulation, forecast accuracy).
• Deliver fast, directionally-correct analyses under time pressure and refine for rigor when needed.
• Represent the team's analytical judgment in meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and review analytical work from junior team members to unblock work.
• Triage incoming requests and route them across the team for timely delivery.
• Own end-to-end delivery of strategic, cross-functional analyses (account matching, end-of-quarter patterns).
• Apply statistical methods to strengthen insights and align with Finance definitions.
