Job summary

The Atlantic District in Westminster, Maryland is seeking a dedicated Principal General Agent to lead our local insurance operations. You will be the face of our commitment to families and businesses, building trust and expanding our client base while guiding a motivated sales team.

We offer an attractive compensation package with base salary, commission and bonus opportunities, plus benefits, PTO and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Maryland Property & Casualty license required.
• Proven success in building and managing high-performing insurance sales portfolios.
• Deep understanding of Westminster/MD local market and small business insurance needs.
• Strong mentoring ability to grow junior agents.
• Proficient with industry-standard quoting tools and agency management software.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field is helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead our sales efforts by developing effective strategies to expand our client base in and around Westminster.
• Mentor and coach new members of our sales team to help them develop their professional skills.
• Analyze client risks and present tailored coverage options for peace of mind.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the agency to ensure smooth running.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to set long-term goals for market reach and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of ethical service while resolving complex insurance inquiries.
