Job summary

Salesforce in New York seeks a Principal Federal Compliance & Security Architect to serve as the chief technical authority for our federal platform footprint. Translate regulations into scalable cloud architectures and drive FedRAMP High/IL5 authorizations across AWS GovCloud/Azure Government.

Lead architectural standards, govern complex initiatives, and coach engineering teams while partnering with executives, customers, and 3PAOs to secure our federal offerings.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in security architecture, cloud engineering, or systems design.
• 5+ years leading major federal compliance initiatives (FedRAMP Moderate/High, DoD IL5).
• Proven track record as Principal Architect driving cross-organizational alignment.
• Deep mastery of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FIPS 140-2/140-3, and DoD SRG requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and inform technical vision for federal platform footprint.
• Drive compliance and security architecture across the lifecycle.
• Lead architectural governance and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with executives, customers, and 3PAOs to obtain FedRAMP/DoD authorizations.
