Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to define and evolve the architectural vision across our engineering org. You will guide high-stakes initiatives spanning API integrations, pharmacy fulfillment, and distributed data systems.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will mentor staff engineers, establish coding standards, and ensure security-by-design while collaborating with Product and Pharmacy Operations to align technical goals with clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a technical field with heavy software engineering background.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering and systems design experience.
• Deep domain expertise in HealthTech or regulated environments.
• Experience leading architectural shifts and working with HIPAA/SOC2 considerations.
• Proven ability to drive design reviews, testing frameworks, CI/CD and security-by-design.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve target architecture for core platforms and APIs.
• Lead design and implementation of high-volume integrations and logistics.
• Mentor Staff, Senior and Mid-level engineers and promote engineering excellence.
• Establish engineering standards, testing, CI/CD, and security practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering Managers and Pharmacy Operations.
• Partner with InfoSec to ensure HIPAA and SOC2 compliance and data privacy.
• Drive performance improvements and database efficiency on PostgreSQL/AWS.
