Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to set the technical vision across our engineering org. You will drive architecture for FuzeRx across high-volume APIs, pharmacy fulfillment, and data systems, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

You will mentor staff engineers, establish design reviews and CI/CD standards, ensure HIPAA/SOC2 compliance, optimize performance, and partner with product and pharmacy teams to align technical decisions with business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
10+ years of progressive software engineering and systems design experience.
Experience building scalable, high-throughput B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
Expertise in HIPAA/SOC2 compliance and secure healthcare platforms.
Able to serve as Tier 1 escalation point for critical outages.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve target architecture for core platforms and integrations.
Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers and lead design reviews.
Establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and security-by-design practices.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Ops.
Drive performance, latency reduction, and database efficiency improvements.
Evaluate new tools and AWS services with proof-of-concepts.
