Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive architectural vision across our engineering org. You will guide design, lead high-volume API integrations, and ensure secure, compliant healthcare platforms. Expect to mentor senior engineers and set engineering standards.

With a strong cloud and data focus, you will collaborate with Product and Pharmacy Ops, shaping long-term technical strategy while improving performance and reliability across our systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS or related field and 10+ years of software engineering.
• Experience designing and scaling distributed, high-throughput systems in HealthTech or SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA/SOC2 compliance and secure architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve target architecture for core platforms and high-volume APIs.
• Mentor staff and elevate engineering culture with design reviews and pair programming.
• Establish coding standards, testing, CI/CD, and security-by-design practices.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Ops on long-term goals.
• Lead architectural shifts and ensure regulatory and data privacy compliance.
• Drive performance optimizations and reliability across PostgreSQL and AWS.
