Job summary

Fuze Health is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive architectural vision across engineering teams. You will shape design for high-volume, secure healthcare platforms and guide multi-squad execution from concept through delivery.

You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and partner with Product and Pharmacy Ops to align technical goals with business needs. This role offers leadership impact and a path to influence patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a technical discipline with 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• Extensive background in building and scaling distributed, high-throughput, B2B SaaS or transactional systems.
• Experience leading architectural initiatives and mentoring engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve target architecture for core platforms and high-volume APIs.
• Mentor Staff, Senior, and Mid-level engineers and elevate engineering culture.
• Establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and security-by-design practices.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering Managers, and Pharmacy Operations.
• Ensure HIPAA/SOC2 compliance and secure messaging in systems.
• Improve performance and reduce latency across PostgreSQL and AWS infra.
• Evaluate new tools and AWS services with POCs.
