Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator in Tucson, AZ. You will work in an IPT to architect, design, implement, test, and deploy software for firmware and hardware solutions to meet evolving avionics needs.

Join a cross-functional team, focusing on edge devices, time-critical functionality, system reliability, and safety. This onsite role requires collaboration with Product Owners and Chief Engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in at least two: Embedded C++ Software, Embedded Software Security, or Software Architecture.
• Experience with embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills, VxWorks, Wind River.
• Experience integrating hardware, firmware, and software for complex systems.
• Active and transferable final Secret U.S. government issued security clearance or ability to obtain program access.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, and debug embedded real-time software within heterogeneous systems.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to define product concepts and guarantee quality.
• Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
• Contribute to proposals and preliminary design reviews.
• Ability to obtain program access.
