Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator for the Effectors Center in Tucson, AZ. You will architect, implement, test, and integrate firmware and hardware software for complex avionics systems, working in an IPT with lean/agile practices.

You must have a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience in embedded C++ software, RTOS, and hardware/software integration, plus a current Secret clearance and ability to obtain program access after start.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Experience with embedded software for edge or embedded devices.
• Experience with RTOS and hardware-software integration.
• Active and transferrable Secret U.S. government security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, debug embedded real-time software.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary IPTs to ensure product quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews.
• Support proposals and design reviews with technical input.
