Job summary

RTX is seeking an Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will architect, implement, and validate software for FPGA firmware and hardware solutions within an IPT environment to meet autonomous avionics needs.

You will work with Product Owners and Engineers using Lean/Agile practices to ensure reliable embedded software operation and measurable quality across multi-domain systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required.
• Experience with at least two of: Embedded C++ Software, Embedded Software Security, Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
• Experience using embedded RTOS (e.g., Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux, etc.)
• Experience integrating hardware, firmware and software in complex systems.
• Active and transferable final Secret U.S. government clearance is required prior to start, with ability to obtain program access after start.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, debug embedded real-time software in firmware/hardware systems.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to improve product concept, implementation and testability.
• Teach, coach and mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to proposals and design reviews.
• Possess ability to obtain program access.
