Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator for its Tucson, AZ site. The role focuses on architecting, implementing, and validating firmware and software for embedded real-time systems, integrating hardware and software across heterogeneous platforms, and delivering secure, high-assurance solutions in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

The position requires a transferable Secret clearance and a track record of delivering complex, safety‑critical software

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with embedded software including RTOS such as Green Hills, VxWorks, or Wind River.
• Strong integration of hardware, firmware, and software for complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, implement, test, and debug embedded real-time software for firmware/hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary IPT to ensure quality and manufacturability.
• Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to design reviews.
• Support program access and proposals.
