Job summary

Eaton’s Aerospace division is seeking a Lead Sustaining Electrical Engineer based in Grand Rapids, MI. This role focuses on reliability and quality improvements for momentum products, including motor controllers and actuators, with on-site work Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities include leading engineering analyses, redesigns, and test planning, while coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers. ITAR considerations apply and 50-mile relocation eligibility is noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical engineering.
• U.S. person per ITAR; no sponsorship for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT.
• Relocation benefit not offered; reside within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead momentum product improvement initiatives and support manufacturing improvements.
• Troubleshoot electrical hardware at the component level.
• Develop test plans, specifications and test procedures for requalification activities.
• Coordinate requalification testing and evaluate results.
• Support Launch for New Product Development and Supplier Product Transfers.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service and HPWT to reduce costs and improve reliability.
