Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC Aerospace division in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Lead Electrical Sustaining Engineer to drive momentum product improvements and support manufacturing improvements. The role reports to the Engineering Manager, Electronic Products and involves overseeing reliability and quality across momentum products like motor controllers and electromechanical components.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and at least five years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Lead momentum product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing of electro-mechanical actuators and system hardware.
• Develop test plans, specifications and general test procedures for requalification activities; coordinate requalification testing and evaluate results.
• Support Launch for Runner New Product Development (NPD) and Supplier Product Transfer initiatives.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service and HPWT to drive cost reductions and reliability improvements.
• Read and interpret specifications and propose design improvements based on data.
