Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr Principal Design Engineer to join the Infrastructure Design Team in Roy, UT. The role focuses on design, modeling, and integration for Sentinel Launch Facilities, Centers, and Test Facilities, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive experience and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance; PE/SE license and Revit/Siemens NX skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with 5 years’ experience; 3 years’ experience with a Master’s degree; or 1 year’ experience with a PhD.
• Sr. Principal: Bachelor’s with 8 years; 6 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility design artifact releases with stakeholders for Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.
• Interpret and verify industry standards, guidelines and codes for project deliverables.
• Participate in project design/model reviews.
• Review subcontractors’ design products for quality and standards.
• Support construction drawings, TDPs, IFCs, PDPs and interface models.
