Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. Defense Systems in Roy, Utah, seeks a Principal/Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Sentinel Launch Systems Infrastructure Facility Electrical Design Team.

You will serve as a system/equipment design engineer on the Facility Electrical Design Team, understanding weapon system design intent and informing facility power system decisions. The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering teams, strong communication, and mentoring from leads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited university; 5 years of power system design/analysis experience.
• US Citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
• Experience with power system design tools (ETAP, PSS/E, SKM, PSCAD).
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEC, UFC codes and standards.
• Revit experience.

Responsibilities

• Support design requirements for electrical power generation, conversion and distribution systems.
• Attend program meetings and milestone reviews to provide progress updates.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments and cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate electrical design with other integration teams.
• Integrate and document electrical systems design for the weapon system.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate electrical/electro-mechanical systems and power components.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
