Job summary

Rosenthal Search Partners is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to take technical ownership across its growing portfolio of data center projects. This senior, hands-on role focuses on advanced cooling and mechanical infrastructure within mission-critical environments.

100% remote within the United States with travel as required; equity ownership is offered along with a highly competitive compensation package and strong autonomy in design decisions spanning development, design, construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in mission-critical / data center environments.
• Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center projects.
• Knowledge of chilled-water plants, air‑cooled and water‑cooled chillers, economization strategies and CRAH / fan‑wall systems.
• Direct experience with liquid cooling technologies including CDUs and rear‑door heat exchangers.
• Strong understanding of N+1, 2N and concurrent maintainability.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE data center standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority across the mechanical discipline for data center projects.
• Review engineering designs, challenge decisions, and help establish mechanical solutions for deployment.
• Oversee construction and commissioning across multiple projects within the portfolio.
• Collaborate with external engineering and design partners to direct project outcomes.
