Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to shape the next generation of AI and hyperscale infrastructure across the US. You will own mechanical design strategy, set engineering standards, and provide technical leadership across multiple sites.

The role offers meaningful equity (0.2%), direct exposure to hyperscale customers and senior leadership, and involvement in site selection, campus master planning, and new site development.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of cooling systems and HVAC performance in data centers.
• Experience reviewing early-stage designs and master plans.
• PE or Chartered Engineer qualification is advantageous.

Principal Mechanical Design Engineer | Data Centers | 0.2% Equity

I’m working with a fast-growing data center developer/operator looking to bring on a Principal Mechanical Engineer to help shape the next generation of AI and hyperscale infrastructure across the US.

This is a chance to join a business combining institutional real estate expertise with hyperscale data center development, backed by a team with 100+ years of real estate experience and several GW of data center delivery experience.

They’re taking a turnkey approach to development, with a focus on securing strategic sites, overcoming utility constraints and accelerating delivery through infrastructure investment, including onsite substations.
