Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Data Centers to lead mechanical design for data center facilities, partnering with in-house engineering and architecture teams. You will guide scope, schedule, and budget across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with codes and industry standards.

The role offers a hybrid or fully remote schedule, competitive salary ($130k–$170k per year) with annual bonus opportunities and ownership pathways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license required; ability to become registered in additional states.
• Experience leading mechanical design on data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as mechanical discipline project lead in a multi-discipline design team.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget for data center projects.
• Develop/coordinate piping, HVAC, and plumbing system designs and drawings.
• Oversee quality reviews and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Lead field verification, site walks, and coordination with contractors.
