Ford Pro is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the technical vision for data-intensive SaaS platforms and API services across multiple teams. You will architect back-end services, data pipelines, and frontends, ensuring reliability and security for customers.

The role requires 12+ years in software engineering with leadership in architecture, 5+ years in API and SaaS design, and deep experience with Java/Kotlin, React, and cloud-native patterns.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with a leadership/architectural track record.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years designing scalable, data-intensive web apps and SaaS products.
• 5+ years API development with Java or Kotlin and modern frontend frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive the technical roadmap for large-scale SaaS applications.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering technical excellence.
• Partner with Product/Design/Business to translate requirements into scalable designs.
• Scope, estimate, and blueprint enterprise initiatives across multiple teams.
• Lead hands-on development of core architectural components and services.
• Raise engineering standards through new tooling and patterns.
