Job summary
Ford Pro Intelligence at Ford Motor Company seeks a Principal Engineer to drive architectural vision and build data-intensive SaaS platforms, APIs, and frontends for fleet management. You will lead, design, and deliver scalable solutions in a high-scale SaaS environment, collaborating with Product and Design across Ford Pro teams.

Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of software engineering experience with leadership/architectural responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering.
- At least 5 years designing scalable, data-intensive web apps and SaaS products.
- 5 years API development with Java or Kotlin and modern frontend frameworks.
- 5 years experience with relational databases (Postgres) and NoSQL.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and establish scalable practices.
Responsibilities
- Define architectural roadmap for large-scale SaaS applications.
- Mentor and coach engineers, promoting technical excellence.
- Translate business needs into scalable architectural designs.
- Scope, estimate, and blueprint complex enterprise initiatives.
- Lead hands-on development of core components and deployments.
- Drive internal tooling and patterns to improve efficiency and quality.
