Ford Motor Company is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead architectural vision and build data-intensive SaaS platforms for Ford Pro Telematics and Data Services. You will design backend services, pipelines, and APIs used across web, mobile, and API applications in a high-scale SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 12 years of software engineering experience with leadership and architectural scope.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• 5 years designing scalable, data-intensive web apps and SaaS products.
• 5 years API development in Java/Kotlin and frontend frameworks like React/AngularJS.
• 5 years with relational and NoSQL databases and high-volume data pipelines.
• Proven leadership across engineering teams and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive the technical roadmap for large-scale, data-intensive SaaS apps.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Business to shape requirements and strategy.
• Scope, estimate, and blueprint enterprise initiatives across multiple teams.
• Lead hands-on development of core architectural components and projects.
• Elevate internal tooling and patterns to improve efficiency and reliability.
